Dockside is striving to do its part to promote sustainable aquaculture. As a matter of standard practice, Dockside:
- Uses biodegradable cleaners in all areas of operations
- Procures domestic shrimp
- Incorporates seasonal seafood to limit over-harvesting and harvesting during spawning season
- Has opened direct lines to local fisherman and buy from boats to support local commercial fishing
- Stores all seafood in an isolated refrigeration system maintained at optimum temperature
- Uses commercial grade vacuum sealers to maintain quality of seafood cuttings to freeze for reducing waste
- Uses farm raised products that are not a detriment to the environment or susceptible to cross breeding with wild species
About our fish...We select and hand cut our fish daily. Only the absolute freshest, exceptional quality is selected. We also follow the Monterey Bay Aquarium's guidelines for sustainable seafood program. Most fish are line caught and availability is subject to seasonal weather and fishing conditions.
